Welcome to
Women in the Wadi
Based in the picturesque Sinai region of Egypt, WITW offers unique rock climbing experiences tailored for both mixed and female-only groups within Dahab and afar. These adventures are led by qualified female instructors who are passionate about empowering women in the outdoor industry within the MENA region.
As a female-led initiative, our mission is to showcase the vital roles women can play as climbers, leaders and guides in outdoor activities. Over the years, we have cultivated a supportive community of collaborative climbers, dedicated to paving the way for more women to explore, express and excel in adventure sports.
We invite you to join our community and experience the strength, unity and thrill of adventure by participating in our rock climbing trips in the desert and beyond.

"Don't be fooled by the name, Women in the Wadi welcomes men climbers too! I was a first time climber and never had an experience in climbing before, but Gen was superb! She is an exceptional instructor – professional, attentive and always ready to help. The overall experience was fantastic, and I felt safe and supported in every climb that I did. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to try rock climbing in a fun, inclusive, and encouraging environment!"

“Joining a climbing trip with an amazing group of Women in the Wadi of Dahab was an absolute blast! I never expected climbing to be so much fun or to discover how much it has in common with freediving. The focus, the breath, the connection to nature—it was all there. Amira was very good at giving guidance and encouraging us along the way, making the experience even better. This adventure even inspired me to take up indoor climbing when I’m back in BC for the winter! I can’t wait to return to the desert and climb again.”
Mahmoud
